Why do you set up the goal as 10 million yen? |
We support UNICEF to carry out the health project in Namibia, aiming to help lowering the mortality rate of infants and under-five children. The donation is used for age under 5 children and pregnant mothers in two areas; especially low performing districts of healthcare services. 10 million yen is necessary to carry out the project. |
Why doesn't Omron Healthcare directly make a donation to UNICEF,
We wanted to help gain the recognition and understanding of the health activity to protect children's lives in Namibia through our press announcement, in-store promotions and website communication. |
How can I be a part of the program? |
This program is currently being carried out in Japan from September 1st to December 31st, 2009. 20 yen will be donated to the fund by every purchase of Omron's blood pressure monitor for home use in Japan during the campaign period. |
What is the plan of action in this project? |
We will support the action taken by UNICEF and the government of Namibia. 1) To select and train 50 Health extension workers on effective healthcare and practice at home. Each worker will cover 400 to 500 households. |
Why does Omron Healthcare support the project of Namibia? |
The mission of Omron Healthcare is "to help realize a healthy and comfortable life for people around the world." After the consultation with UNICEF, we decided to support people in Namibia along with our hope that we would like to contribute to the healthcare of children who live in the place where we cannot care through our usual corporate activity. |
Is this program just a sales promotion? |
No. This is to express our sincere gratitude to the people all around the world to help and support our healthcare business, and we wanted to give something back to the society to celebrate our milestone. |
