Omron Healthcare Co., Ltd. (OHQ) respects Omron Corporation's Environmental Policy, decides on its Environmental Policy towards the establishment of and the contribution to a sustainable recycling-oriented society, and promotes environmental conservation activities as follows:
OHQ will identify the effect of OHQ's mainstay healthcare products and services and medical devices and services on the environment, establish environmental management systems to promote the reduction of environmental effects and the prevention of environmental pollution, and make continuous efforts to improve them.
OHQ will comply with the Basic Environmental Law and other environment-related laws and regulations that apply to environmental management systems, as well as the other requirements OHQ has decided to accept. OHQ will also lay down its own voluntary standards to address environmental conservation and pollution prevention.
OHQ will respond to any environmental issues raised by interested parties in good faith.
OHQ will improve the following continuously:
1)
Curbing of waste generation and promotion of recycling
2)
Promotion of energy conservation for reduced CO2 emissions
3)
Promotion of resource conservation for reduced and controlled use of OA paper and water resources
4)
Creation of products and technologies that contribute to reducing the environmental burdens created by our customers
5)
Collection and realization of customer requests on environmental improvement
6)
Environmental improvement and environmental enlightenment in compliance with the main functions of the organization
OHQ will address the environmental conservation activities under this Environmental Policy by setting the Environmental Objectives, Environmental Goals and Action Plans and review the systems and the activities through periodical evaluation and internal environmental audit.
For the smooth and efficient achievement of this Environmental Policy, OHQ will implement the education and training and make the Environmental Policy known to all the employees. OHQ will also prepare internal regulations for its environmental management systems and improve environmental control and environmental conservation. Furthermore, with regard to the operation of onsite environmental management systems, OHQ will provide the education and communication to have subcontractors and contractors working for OHQ become well aware of the Environmental Policy and related operational matters.
OHQ will participate in the places for social contribution actively.
OHQ will make public the Environmental Policy and the environmental activities in an appropriate form.
